Migraine Relief and Bowen Technique
After suffering from migraines since I was at Primary school, they became increasingly worse around the time of my degree where I would sometimes get up to 3 a week. As anyone who suffers from migraines knows, these were particularly debilitating when all I could do was lye in a dark room until they passed, often taking up to 4 or 5 hours at a time. These would be particularly painful during my menstrual cycle or in times of stress and really affected my lifestyle. Having been sceptical of alternative therapy, it was only on recommendation from a friend that I tried the Bowen technique. After the first session with Jackie I felt an immediate effect on my body, and by the third, a definite improvement around the time of my menstrual cycle – the sessions were really relaxing and I found myself less stressed and sleeping better afterwards. However, the real benefits have come some 3 months later where I have not had one single migraine since Jackie's treatment, something I didn't think possible having suffered all these years. While I am prone to the odd headache around the time of my period, they are nowhere near as inconvenient due to the lack of sickness and sitting in dark rooms! I would definitely recommend Jackie's Bowen therapy to anyone who suffers from migraines, as they really have improved my quality of life not having to worry about a sudden attack occurring.

Detoxification benefits of Bowen
"I came to Jackie after suffering from severe nerve damage in my extremities from a vasculitis I had suffered in the previous year. Over the course of seven treatments in as many weeks she significantly alleviated my pain, opened up my airways, stimulated my immune function and totally detoxed me.
I must say to begin with I was sceptical about the treatment however the after-effects of the second session (stimulating my kidneys to detoxify my system) had such a dramatic effect that I was completely won over.
I would thoroughly recommend Jackie not only as a talented healer but also as a warm and wonderful human being."

Frozen Shoulder improvements after Bowen treatment
"My shoulders started bothering me. After months of pain that kept getting worse, I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. I received two cortizone shots in my shoulders and was given exercises to do. It didn't have any effect. So I was sent for physical therapy. After 12 painful sessions of therapy they said they had done all they could, which wasn't much. My doctor then said he could break loose the shoulders with force. I decided to try the Bowen Technique. After one session of the Bowen Technique, with Jackie, I started getting more mobility and less pain. After the 2nd session, and simple, easy exercises my mobility was improved almost 50%. After my 4th session I'm about 90% improved. I am amazed that such a non invasive procedure could have such a positive effect."

Tight Chest relieved after Bowen Therapy
On the 29th November 2007, I experienced a rather bad fall whilst walking around the Jurong bird park, Singapore. I was taken to hospital there and received stitches to my head and had badly bruised my body.
On my return, I spoke to Jackie and she offered to help me by administring the 'Bowen' technique on my torso. I was somewhat sceptical, because normally I am not a believer in alternative medicine of any kind. I agreed to give it a go as I was in so much pain but to my surprise Jackie's ability to treat me with just a couple of moves gave me some relief that same day. She had obviously understood about the feeling I had, that my chest and back felt like they were being held in a tight steel band.
Since then she has made regular visits to me treating my condition and after each session I have begun to feel the benefits within the next couple of days, and I feel now that with her help I have improved at a faster rate and I am very grateful to her.

Stress and Tension relieved after Bowen Therapy
At the start of my Bowen treatrment, I was very stressed, very tense and had endless sleepless nights.
I was a very unrelaxed person. A few days after my first treatment I did experience a funny headache and a feeling I could not describe. But I did start to relax and sleep better which did make a huge difference to me.
After the second treatment, the tingling in my legs and hands were not so prominent. After the third treatment the neck tension that I had, almost disappeared. I have just a slight dull ache from time to time. Bowen has helped me. I am sleeping much better, more relaxed and life is much brighter. I am beginning to cope much better.
Many thanks Jacky for helping me.

Restricted Shoulder relieved after Bowen
For a number of months I've been having problems with my left shoulder, some restricted movement and pain whenever I lifted my arm forward, or above my shoulder, occasionally I would hear a click or feel tightness building to a movement that suddenly relieved itself (especially during swimming) as if a golf ball had been inserted into my joint but then removed? Does this make sense?
The first consultation showed me contrastng ability in right and left arm, within the next week I felt some relief and better movement, but after four or five days the same symptoms returned (perhaps not so strong).
The second consultation worked better and in a few days my left arm /shoulder felt almost normal , but after a week of good swimming (longer distance, faster) it began to feel restricted, not as bad as previously.
I also have some lower back pain, which is an on / off problem. Jackie is aware of my operations and difficulties with lower back over eighteen years.
After the third consultation each day has been different with a variety of experiences, some days clear, others more restricted, bur I've also had a slight depression and some sort of virus (flu?) that hasn't helped.
At the moment, I am swimming well, but with periods of discomfort, noticeable rather than restrictive, but as a daily swimmer I do expect to have ups and downs, changing ability, etc.
